Must give time to your children ( Heart Touching Story )

SON: “Dad, can I ask you a question?”

DAD: “Yeah sure, what is it?”

SON: “Dad, how much do you make in an hour?”

DAD: “It’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?”

SON: “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you earn in an hour?”

DAD: “If you must know, I make $100 an hour.”

SON: “Oh! (Head down).

SON: “Dad, can I borrow $50?”
The father was furious.

DAD: “If the only reason you asked is to borrow money to buy a stupid toy or some other nonsense, then you walk straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you’re so selfish. I work hard every day for such childish behavior.”

The little boy quietly went to his room and closed the door.

The man sat up and started to get even angrier at the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions just to make money?

After about an hour, the man had calmed down and started thinking:

Maybe the $50 was something he really needed to buy and he really didn’t ask for money very often. The man walked to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.

DAD: “Are you sleeping, my son?”

SON: “No dad, I’m awake”.

DAD: “I thought, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It’s been a long day and I got rid of my irritation. Here’s the $50 you asked for.”

The little boy sat up and smiled.

SON: “Oh, thank you Dad!”

Then he reached under the pillow and pulled out a few crumpled bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted his money then looked up at his father.

DAD: “Why do you want more money if you already have it?”

SON: “Because I haven’t had enough, but now I have had enough.”

“Dad, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Come home early tomorrow. I want to play with you.”

The father was devastated. He put his arms around his grandson and asked for his forgiveness. It’s just a little reminder for all of you who work so hard in life. We must not let time slip through our fingers without having spent time with those who really matter to us, those who are close to our hearts.
